On October 29 and 30, the Digital Archives of Małopolska 2 Conference was held on the Mozilla Hubs platform: XR reality – mixed reality in multimedia devices for museums and public spaces in Krakow

The conference was held online / the server and the broadcasting center were located in the Jagiellonian University building at 3 Ingardena Street in Krakow

The speakers come from Poland (20) and Indonesia (1), however 5 of the participants represent international research centers and cultural institutions

The conference takes place in the multimedia lecture room on the Mozilla Hubs interactive transmission platform, where you will be able to watch the broadcast on your phone / smartphone / VR goggles and at the same time participate in the discussion – ask the speakers questions. The platform is available on the Internet – without installation and on any mobile device. This form of conference (including advertising and collecting material for publication) is a complete phenomenon that increases access to culture without excluding people due to disability and economic exclusion.

– The event takes the form of a festival that combines a scientific conference, networking in virtual galleries and free concerts. It consists of, among others with: presentations, moderated discussions, product analyzes, case studies and presentation of research methods. The event is divided into a workshop part and a theoretical part, and the speaker himself will be encouraged to participate before each lecture. The aim of the event is the exchange of experiences, networking and the creation of profiled solutions for cultural institutions, creators of the creative industry and producers of multimedia equipment. Each participant has the opportunity to talk about their experiences, make a presentation or conduct a discussion session. The whole event takes place according to the principle “No spectators. Only participants!”

The aim of the conference is to create a strategy for dealing with digital media in Małopolska and to assess how mixed reality (VR and AR), artificial intelligence mechanisms and other technological innovations can co-create new education and identity building and the development of the so-called smartcity.
